Bristol Valley Theater, a professional summer theater for over 50 years, is accepting resumes for two Stage Manager Positions for our 2022 summer season. We are located in upstate New York, an hour south of Rochester, in the scenic Finger Lakes Region.
The 2022 summer season, running June 16 – September 4, includes Heartbeat of America: The Classics of Country, Cowboy Vs Samurai, Once, The Book Club Play, It’s a Small World (World Premiere), and Amy and the Orphans.
There are two Stage Manager tracks, one from 5/28 – 8/21 (stage managing shows 1, 3 and 5), The second from 6/11 – 8/7 (Stage Managing shows 2 and 4) There is a possible extension for either track through 9/4 to assist with Show 6.
Salary range for this position is $450 – $550 per week. Housing is provided at no cost to the employee.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
� Establishing communications pre season with season directors.
� Facilitating communication between company members.
� Writing and distributing daily schedules and rehearsal/performance reports.
� Run rehearsals for assigned shows.
�Supervising tech rehearsals in cooperation with director and creative team
� Calling all performances of assigned shows.
� Supervising, setting schedule for and working alongside ASMs (interns), including overseeing their compliance with company safety and covid policies..
� Keeping rehearsal room organized, stocked and ready for each day.
� Assist the Artistic Director with company management duties including transporting new arrivals to housing, distribution of mail, etc.
� Maintain budget expenses for stage management department and related expenditures. Attending company budget meetings as needed.
� Help oversee the safety and well-being of all employees.
� Personal participation, as needed, in load in/strike/changeovers.
� Attending all production meetings. Running production meetings for your assigned shows.
