Bristol Valley Theater is currently interviewing to fill the full time/full year position of Director of Development and Marketing.

Reporting to the Executive Artistic Director, The Director will serve as a member of Bristol Valley Theater’s leadership team.

Although all members of our small administrative team contribute on many levels, the primary focus of this position is threefold: maintaining existing relationships and forging new relationships with individual and corporate donors; designing and implementing fresh, sustainable fundraising strategies and programs; creating and implementing a marketing strategy to engage new and returning audiences.

The job can also be tailored to offer other opportunities and responsibilities geared to the new Director’s individual strengths and interests.

Salary range for the position is $35,000-$40,000 per year, plus an excellent health care package.

Bristol Valley Theater is a small, seasonal theater with a 50-year history of serving the Finger Lakes region of New York by producing and presenting live professional performances in our 196-seat theater. Located in Naples, a village of 1500, BVT has forged strong community ties with a rural and regionally based audience and established a reputation for excellence. Though active year round, the centerpiece of BVT’s programing is a 6-play season of plays and musicals from June – September, utilizing a company of professional artists drawn from New York City and around the country. Additionally the theater offers presented programming –theater, concerts, family programming– on select weekends year round, and educational programs for local students ages 4 – 17.
