Alexandra K. Anthony (Assistant Technical Director) is a panda. She enjoys bamboo, science fiction, and building scenery with intelligent companions. Alex is elated to be returning for her third summer at BVT. Recently she worked at Nazareth College Department of Theatre Arts as the Master Carpenter and will be returning in the fall.
Rick Apicella (Walter Cunningham, Sr., Mockingbird) is very happy to be making his Bristol Valley Theater debut. His regional credits include The Elephant Man in The Elephant Man, John Proctor in The Crucible, Shane Mungitt in Take Me Out, and Rodolpho in A View from the Bridge. Rick is also a winner of the best actor award at the Strawberry Play festival in NYC.
Paul Arnold (Lighting Design, Accomplice) is thrilled to be returning to BVT after designing last year's Barefoot in the Park. Some favorite shows include Theatre Too: Woody Guthrie's American Song, Snake in the Grass, Songs From an Unmade Bed, Language of Angels; Theatre Coppell: Shadowlands, Oliver, Doubt; Theatre Three: Beehive, Murder on the Nile, 33 Variations, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. His work has been nominated three times for the Dallas Column Awards, and is part of the 2014 design MFA class at the University of Washington. Later this summer he will be interning with the San Francisco Opera.
Kima Baffour (Costume Design, The Big Bang) is presently based in NYC after working extensively in London. While there, she created the costumes for the feature film Internal which now will be screened at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. Her recent credits are : Sasquacthed! The Musical (The Pearl Theater), Romeo and Juliet ( Shakespeare Society ) , Guys and Dolls Jr. (Art House Productions),The Full Monty ( Westchester Sandbox Theater), Flea in Her Ear (York College). Shelley Barish (Scenic Design, Caps and Gowns, boom) is excited to be returning to BVT. Past BVT productions include: Barefoot in The Park, A Coupla White Chicks.., Red White and Tuna, & Private Lives. Shelley has collaborated with a number of theatres including, Theatre Fairfield, The Berkshire Theatre Festival, Geva Theatre, Eastman School of Music and The Ohio Light Opera. She received her M.F.A from Michigan State University and currently designs and teaches at UMASS Lowell. Favorite Scenic Designs include: Assassins, School House Rock Live, Born Yesterday, As You Like It, Blood Wedding, SubUrbia, Der Vogelhandler, Uneccessary Farce (premier), Boeing Boeing, HMS Pinafore and Dead Man’s Cell Phone.
Roger Bean (Writer/Creator, Caps and Gowns) is well known for his success with jukebox musicals. He is the Executive Director of Steele Spring Theatrical Licensing and is a member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and The Dramatists Guild. Roger currently resides in Los Angeles with his partner Perry.
Adam Bintz (Sound Design, Caps and Gowns, boom, Accomplice, Mockingbird) is very excited to join the BVT community. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and recently went through the Professional Internship Program at the Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts. In addition to sound, Adam also pursues lighting, projections, video, graphic design, and photography. His favorite sound designs include Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Our Country’s Good, and Language of Angels. Jacob P. Brinkman (Master Electrician) is excited for his first summer at BVT. He is a BFA in Theatrical Production and Design at SUNY Fredonia where he will be returning to in the fall for his senior year. His credits include, Lighting Design: The Diary of Anne Frank, Between Daylight and Boonville. Asst. Lighting Design: James and the Giant Peach, Macbeth. Master Electrician: Chicago, Moon Over Buffalo, The Sound of Music. Jake was also an electrician at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Jennifer Lauren Brown (Jennifer Aniston, Pass the Remote) is thrilled to return to BVT! She was last seen on this stage in A Grand Night for Singing. Jennifer has performed at theatres across the country, including the Ivoryton Playhouse, Lake Dillon Theatre Company, Mount Washington Valley Theatre, Playhouse on Park and others. Past regional credits include: Avenue Q (Kate Monster), Company (Amy), [title of show] (Susan), Spelling Bee (Olive), Man of LaMancha (Antonia). In NYC, she most recently appeared in a play she co-wrote called, Hedda Gabler Stars in She Loves Me, in which she played Hedda. Karin Bowersock (Artistic Director; Director, boom, Mockingbird, Pass the Remote) has been Artistic Director of Bristol Valley Theater since 2003. Prior to moving to the Finger Lakes, Karin lived in New York City where she co-founded (with Dominic Orlando) No-Pants Theatre Company, producing and directing new work at venues ranging from HERE (NYC) to The Pasinger/Fabrike (Munich) Regionally she has worked with Geva, The Guthrie Theater, Bloomsburg Theater Ensemble and The Lied Center at Kansas University, where Origins, her adaptation of the Scopes Monkey Trial transcripts, starred Edward Asner and was aired on PBS and NPR. Other playwrighting credits include Mystery Radio Theater (Geva NextStage), and Let's Misbehave, which premiered at BVT and will have productions in Illinois, Idaho, and California this year. She is excited to be directing An Ives Evening at Nazareth College in the fall.
Andrew Colford (Atticus Finch, Mockingbird) was born and raised in the California Bay Area, and went to Georgetown University in Washington, D.C, where he studied political science and economics. After graduation, Andrew spent a year in Houston, TX as a Jesuit Volunteer, working at a non-profit criminal defense firm with death row inmates. Given this experience, he cannot begin to express what an honor it is to portray Atticus, and thanks Karin and Bristol Valley for giving him this opportunity. He would also like to thank his parents, Margaret and Jack, for their love and support.
Max Coller (Jem Finch, Mockingbird) makes his Bristol Valley Theater debut as Jem in To Kill a Mockingbird. Max previously worked at Geva Theater Center Mainstage in A Christmas Carol (Boy Cratchit, Young Ebenezer, and Ignorance) and The Music Man (Winthrop). Other credits include Honk (Drake), Aladdin (Aladdin), Seussical (Jojo), High School Musical 2 (Chad), 101 Dalmations (Jasper), Sleeping Beauty (Goon #2), Oklahoma (Fred). Max currently studies voice with Cara D’Emanuele. Last summer Max moved to Penfield and in the Fall will be a Freshman at McQuaid Jesuit High School. Ken Corey (Judge Taylor, Mockingbird) and his wife (talented bead artist: Leah Corey) have been avid supporters of BVT for many years and have enjoyed every season from the same 2 seats! Ken is an old community theater guy and has done a laundry list of musicals and comedic productions for the past 50 years. He is thrilled that this year he has been given an opportunity to play a serious character in a classic play. Way better than just watching it from seat I-9!! Thanks for your confidence, Karin!
Paul Del Gatto (Understudy, Accomplice) states that he is one west coast actor who is more than delighted to swap the white sands of Laguna Beach for the vineyards and hamlets of the Finger Lakes. Mr. Del Gatto's stage credits include Tango Dancer in the Plaza Dinner Theater production of Evita, Osric in Wayside Children's Theater's modern-dress Hamlet and the outrageous Mama Chile Neck in the Texas State Theater's award-winning production of Gumbo! He has appeared on numerous daytime soaps, often as bartenders, interns and even a male nurse! Accomplice marks his BVT debut.
Shelby Ditmars (Box Office) has been at BVT since last summer working box office. She plans on graduating from FLCC in the fall with an associates in science, and then plans on going further with her education and helping wildlife animals.
Emelia Duserick (Scout Finch, Mockingbird) is honored to make her Bristol Valley Theater debut in this iconic role! Additional professional theatre credits include Fan and Belinda Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (Geva Theatre Center, 2010 and 2012). She was most recently seen onstage as a featured "Rising Star" at Broadway Sessions (Laurie Beechman Theatre, NYC). Other favorite roles include Cindy Sue Murdock (Pom Pom Zombies), Chloe (Madeline's Christmas) and Mulan (A Princess Off), among others. Sawyer Duserick (Walter Cunningham, Jr., Mockingbird) is thrilled to make his BVT debut and share the stage with his big sister, Emelia! Other professional theatre credits include The Music Man, To Find Mona and Sister's Christmas Catechism (all at Geva Theatre Center). Additional favorite roles include Frankie Jr. in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along (Nazareth College), Orphan #2/Fagin's Gang in Oliver! (Pittsford Musicals) and Fluff in Honk! Liz Ellis (Stage Manager) is very excited to be at Bristol Valley Theater for her first year. She has graduated from SUNY Fredonia with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and a minor in Communications. She is originally from Clifton Park, NY. Past credits at SUNY Fredonia include Stage Manager for Fredonia Dance Ensemble, Chicago, Stage Door, Macbeth, and The Altruists. Past professional credits include Production Stage Manager at Park Playhouse in Albany, NY for Cabaret and Hairspray, and Assistant Stage Manager for The Producers.
Sara Fetgatter (Accomplice) is thrilled to be back at BVT for her third season! A NYC based actress, she just returned from Florida starring in the romantic comedy Beau Jest. Recently, Sara performed at the Rochester Fringe Festival in the musical PICk Love, directed by the great David Shane. Other favorite roles include: Barefoot in the Park (Corie), The Wedding Singer (Linda), A Coupla White Chicks… (Maude), Cabaret (Fraulein Kost), and Beehive: The 60's Musical (Janis Joplin). Jed Feuer (Music, Big Bang) Born in Los Angeles, Jed Feuer was moved to New York City at the age of six weeks. Growing up in a musical family, he studied trumpet under Joe Wilder (subsequently with Carmine Caruso). Piano with Joseph Kahn, then Eugene Istomin. In 1982, his first Off-Broadway musical was produced. Theatre, film and television scores followed. Involved with animal welfare issues since childhood, he writes music for documentaries produced by The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), an organization with which he's been associated for many years. Currently, he is finishing Slaughterhouse-Five, a musical based on the novel.
Aleisha Force (Jean Louise, Mockingbird) hails from the Great State of Texas and is proud alumna of SMU’s Meadows School of the Arts (MFA Acting 2012). Boyd Graham (Book/Lyrics, Big Bang) began his writing career in advertising and worked for several years writing ad campaigns for films with TriStar Pictures.His Off-Broadway credits include Eating Raoul. He wrote the book and lyrics for Life is Not a Doris Day Movie, and also wrote and directed The Last Chance Revue and Hot Damn and has recently completed a new musical, Microphony.
Tyler Griffin (Music Director, Pass the Remote) is thrilled to be working with BVT this season. Favorite MD Credits: Shout for Norwegian Cruise Lines, The Last Five Years, Seussical, and Cedar Point Amusement Park. He’s also a composer/arranger whose work has been featured in theatres throughout the U.S and Mexico. He is currently working on his 2nd musical, Conch, which he hopes to have in pre-production next year. During his free time, he likes drinking piña coladas and getting caught in the rain. Devin Grover (Charles Baker “Dill” Harris, Mockingbird) has written, directed and acted in many different productions. His start came at the age of five when he performed his “One Man Show” at the Ontario County Art Center. Devin recently joined the Bristol Valley Theater where he performed the lead characters in Donkey Gone to Market and The Super Sparkly Sugar Plum Revue. This past spring he finished production for The Tales of Beatrix Potter where he performed as the Narrator in addition to being cast as Arthur for his school’s musical, Joust. In addition to acting and writing, he enjoys video games, skiing and eating pizza.
Gina Grundman (Props/Paints Intern) is so excited to make her leap into the Bristol Valley Theater summer season. She hails from the small town of Gretna, Virginia. Gina just finished her Junior year at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Virginia. There she studies Theatre and Electronic Media. It was her
freshman year of college that she began working in the LC theatre scene shop and truly fell in love with theatre. Since then some of her favorite projects have been scenic artist on Love's Labour's Lost and scenic designer for Murdered to Death. Huge thank yous and much love to family and friends!
Chris Henley (Accomplice; Jed, The Big Bang). BVT audiences will remember Chris as Goat in Robber Bridegroom, Turai in Rough Crossing, and Lycus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Most recently he won the Texas Choice Best Featured Actor award for originating the role of Sonny Boy Okra in the Texas State Theater's award-winning production of Gumbo! He thanks Karin for getting his bio in the program this year.
Michael Hartson (Understudy, Accomplice) a native of Canandaigua, is thrilled to be making his debut at the Bristol Valley Theater. He is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, and co-founding member of The Onstage Theater Company in Los Angeles. Stage credits include Hurlyburly, The Misanthrope, Burn This and On Tina Tuna Walk. His Feature Film credits include Now You See Me, Elsa and Fred (with Shirley MacLaine and Christopher Plummer) and The Starving Games. On television, Michael has appeared on numerous shows including Dawson’s Creek, Treme, Num3ers, Safe Harbor and The Cape. He currently resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Che Holloway (Tom Robinson, Mockingbird) is a trained actor living in NYC, he attended School of the Arts in Rochester, N.Y.(class of 2009), trained with Geva summer academy, (2007, 2009) and with the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC (2010-2011). Che's recent work includes playing Kacey on the Oprah Winfrey Networks hit show Unfaithful. Che wants to give a heavy thanks to those who have worked on this show and for those who have come to see it.
Rupert Holmes (Playwright, Accomplice) is a British and American composer,singer-songwriter, musician and author of plays, novels and stories. He is best known for his number one pop hit "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" (1979/1980) and the song "Him", which reached the number 6 position on the Hot 100 U.S. pop chart in 1980. He is also known for his 1985 Tony Award-winning musical Drood (originally The Mystery of Edwin Drood) and his 2007 Drama Desk Award-winning book forthe Broadway musical Curtains, and for his television series Remember WENN.
Seth James (Horace Gilmer, Mockingbird) is an actor living in Brooklyn. Seth has appeared in such classics as You Never Can Tell, Hamlet and The Rover. This fall he will head to Cape May to bike, sun himself and play Warren in The Late Christopher Bean. Though acting remains Seth’s life-long passion, he is also an avid rock climber and outdoor enthusiast. He was once stung by a large tree while living on a beach in northern Australia. Thanks to Karin and Bristol Valley for the fantastic opportunity!
Jeffrey Johnson II (Reverend Sykes, Mockingbird) is happy to be back on the stage! He holds a BM from the University of Central Oklahoma, with an emphasis in Music Theatre. Regional Credits: Jawbone (The Color Purple), Curtis (Dreamgirls), Hud (Hair), and Cogsworth (B & B). Jeff also has toured both nationally and internationally with Sesame Street Live and the USO. Katy Kepler (Stage Manager) is thrilled to join BVT this summer. Past stage management credits include the Rochester Children's Theatre (Moses Man, Honk!, Seussical, You're...Charlie Brown), and on Geva's Nextstage (44 Plays). There, she also interned as assistant director for On Golden Pond and as an actor in Dracula and A Christmas Carol. Katy studied directing, stage management, and performance at the College at Brockport. Favorite collegiate credits include Coyote on a Fence (PSM), The Problem (director), and Turtle Play (role: Cedar). She recently returned as an alumnus to direct in the school's Festival of Ten VIII (Bride and Groom in the Graveyard).
David Kimple (Jules, boom) is crazy goofy happy to back for his third Summer in Naples! Previous BVT credits include Barefoot in the Park, Mary's Wedding (also seen in last year's Rochester Fringe festival), Go Back for Murder, Charlie's Aunt, and The 39 Steps (DUNDUNDUN). Cassandra King (Scenic Design The Big Bang) is thrilled to return to BVT, after working as the paint/props intern in 2010. She earned her MFA in Production Design and Technology from Ohio University in May of this year, and plans on moving to New York in the fall. Favorite designs include Assassins, War is F*@king Awesome, West Side Story, and Dames at Sea. Given that she just finished grad school she has yet to rediscover what her hobbies are, but she’s sure they are something interesting and worldly. Thanks to my fabulous family and friends for always supporting me, and to Karin for inviting me back to the fun!
Heidi Kleber (Stage Management Intern) is a junior studying Theatre Communication with a minor in Management at Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA. She has worked on over fifteen productions in four years. She has stage managed four productions at Juniata College, including one touring show, American Western, which took her to Dublin, Ireland in May 2013. Last summer, she interned as the assistant director, lighting designer, and light board operator at Front and Centre Productions in Philipsburg, PA. Once returning to Juniata in the fall, she will continue studying theatre by working on set construction, electrics, and stage management.
Tommy Labanaris (Accomplice; Boyd, Big Bang; Tommy Smothers, Pass the Remote) is back for his 9th summer at BVT after just finishing playing Sweeney in Sweeney Todd in NH. Beth LaJoie (Lighting Design, Big Bang) is thrilled to be back at BVT designing the lighting for Big Bang. Beth is the Production Manager and Lighting Designer/TD for the Theatre Department at Nazareth College. Prior to locating to Rochester, she spent many years doing summer stock, dinner theatre, regional and tours on the East Coast and points west. Justin Lawrence (Heck Tate, Mockingbird) is thrilled to be joining BVT for To Kill A Mockingbird. Justin recently finished a run at the Broward Stage Door Theatre in Coral Springs, Florida, performing in Beau Jest. Other regional credits include A Christmas Carol at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Spring Awakening at the Coterie theatre, and Chicago, The Liar, Wait Until Dark and Book of Days at the Okoboji Summer Theatre. Kendyl Litwiller (Box Office) is grateful to work at BVT for her fourth year in the box office. She is currently attending Niagara University for Theatre and has been with the BVT since she was 11. Her credits here include Puss N' Boots, Snow White and Man of La Mancha. Her credits at Niagara include The Boy Who Could Sing Pictures (puppeteer), The Rimers of Eldritch (Mavis), stage manager of Urinetown: The Musical and director of Borrowed Parts in the 2013 Short Play Festival. Paul Lysek, Jr. (Asst to the Director, Court Recorder, Boo Radley, Mockingbird) is thrilled to be back for another summer at Bristol Valley Theater! Previously at BVT, he was seen as a Protean (Funny...Forum) and as the Delivery Man (Barefoot in the Park). Originally from Wayland, NY, this fall Paul will be a senior at American University in Washington, DC where he studies musical theatre. At AU, he was recently seen as Herr Schultz (Cabaret), Vice Principal Panch (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), and Harry the Horse (Guys & Dolls). He would like to thank his wonderful family and friends for their constant love and support.
Katelyn Machnica (Betty Jean, Caps and Gowns; Jo, boom; Understudy, Accomplice) is thrilled to be back home at BVT for her sixth season! Previous BVT shows include Evita (Mistress), Cabaret (Texas), Charley's Aunt (Amy), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Betty Jean), among others- her show count is now in double digits! Last year she also had the supreme pleasure of directing the Apprentice Program (BVT AP 4eva!!). Katelyn hails from Rochester, NY and is a graduate of Nazareth College. Kimberly Matela (Costume Design, Accomplice) is a NYC based designer working in Theatre, Film, and Dance and received her MFA from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Recent design credits include: 50 Things I love About Frank (Theater For The New City) directed by Jesse Marchese, Barefoot in The Park (Bristol Valley Theater) directed by David E. Tim McMath (Scenic Designer, Accomplice): is thrilled to return for his fourth summer at BVT, having previously designed the sets for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Cabaret and Go Back For Murder. Recent favorite credits: The Play About The Coach, The Velveteen Rabbit, and The Color Purple. He is a company member with Emerging Artists Theatre, for whom he has designed a number of shows, including the Off-B'way premiers of Claymont, The Sensational Josephine Baker and Penny Penniworth. Rich Miller (Sound Design, Big Bang, Pass the Remote) is thrilled to be returning to the BVT family for his 13th season. This “hobby” of theater has sure stuck around. Rich is a passionate collector of chemical elements (he is a chemistry teacher as well!) He still enjoys playing with Star Wars Lego’s. He would like to thank Karin for allowing him to dabble with his photography talents. His true joy is spending time with his wife and three year old son, Anakin. Samantha J. Miller (Costume Design, Mockingbird) is thrilled to return for yet another season! Past BVT productions include; Go Back for Murder, Cabaret, Red, White, and Tuna, Boeing Boeing, Man of LaMancha, I Left My Heart, and Lend Me A Tenor. She currently resides in Dallas working and designing for SMU. This year she had the pleasure of designing costumes for Dreamers: A Bloodline, an original work for Cara Mia Theatre Company, which was co-designed with Ella Rose Haag.'
Lauren Mistilis (Props Master) is from Oxford, MS and is a 2012 graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi where she earned her BFA in Theatrical Design and Technology with an emphasis in Scenic Design. She spent the last year as the scenic paint intern at Virginia Repertory Theater painting a large amount of scenery in a short amount of time (just like summer stock!). She is overjoyed about returning to the beautiful town of Naples for her second season at BVT! Also, her family and friends are awesome. Seriously though, they’re really incredible.
Brian Morath (Nathan Radley, Man, Mockingbird) is ecstatic to be joining the summer season of BVT. After being an apprentice at BVT in 1997, he wento to earn a theater degree at FLCC in 2006 and is now a BVT intern for the summer. His past community theater credits include Jesus in Godpsell, Fiddler on the Roof, and most recently Steward in GTG's 2011 production of Into the Woods. “I thank God and my family for their love and support through the years.”
Peter Sinn Nachtrieb (Playwright, boom) is a San Francisco-based playwright whose works include boom (TCG's most-produced play 2009-10), T.I.C. (Trenchcoat In Common), Hunter Gatherers (2007 ATCA/Steinberg New Play Award, 2007 Will Glickman Prize), Colorado,and Multiplex. His work has been seen Off-Broadway and at theaters across the country. He is under commission from South Coast Repertory and American Conservatory Theater, and is a Resident Playwright at the Playwrights Foundation, San Francisco. He holds a degree in Theater and Biology from Brown and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University.
Timothy Neggie (Carpentry/Electrics Intern) is very excited to be a part of Bristol Valley Theater’s summer season. This is Tim’s first internship and summer stock and he couldn’t ask to be around a better group of people. Tim is soon to be a sophomore at SUNY Fredonia studying for his BFA in Theatrical Design/Production with a concentration in Lighting Design. Carla Ogden (Mrs. Dubose, Mockingbird) is delighted to be back at BVT, where last year she played Domina in A Funny Thing… Forum. Dominic Orlando (Playwright, Tales from the Brothers Grimm; Director, Big Bang) arrived in Bristol Valley on a mottled donkey cart somewhere around Ought Three, with nothing but the clothes on his back, a half pint of Rebel Yell, and a filthy, torn I.O.U. Karin handed him when he rescued her from the Great NYC Rat Panic of 1987. Though they barely recognized each other for the lack of being pursued by rats, Karin hired him to write the yearly apprentice Children’s Show (2003-13), and to direct Lend Me A Tenor, Red Herring, Rough Crossing, Boeing-Boeing, Charley’s Aunt, and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way to The Forum (2007-12). When he’s not in Naples, Dominic writes plays & musicals, under commission from Berkeley Repertory Theatre (full-length musical, The Barbary Coast), The History Theatre in St Paul (full-length musical The Working Boys Band), & ArtsEmerson in Boston (adaptation of Don Delillo’s Hammer & Sickle). His play Danny Casolaro Died for You was recently optioned by Caliber Media Co & Aviation Films—he is currently working on the screenplay.

Mary Peaty (House Manager) is returning once again to be the House Manager/theater cleaner/cook/mother/box office/cameo actress/and person to help keep Karin sane! She believes this is her 13th season but she may be off a year either way. She is enjoying having both of her children out of the house. Her son is in the Army and her daughter is doing well in Hornell. “Looking forward to seeing all our old friends and to making new friends in this new and wonderful season.”
Liz Porter (Costume/Wardrobe Supervisor; Costume Design, boom, Tales from the Brothers Grimm) is thrilled to be returning, for her fourth summer, to BVT. In addition to her work in the Costume Shop, she has designed the costumes for BVTs Apprentice Program for the last three seasons. Rachael Richman (Miss Maudie, Mockingbird) is an actor and theater-maker based in New York City. She has appeared at: the Public Theatre, La Mama, Flea Theatre, Whitney Museum, HERE Arts, PS122, Performa 2011, New Dramatists, Columbia University, House of Yes, Tank, Cell, St. Marks, NY and Philly Fringe, Philadelphia Shakespeare Theatre, Hudson Opera House, London Courtyard Theatre. Training includes SITI Co, Pig Iron, Grotowski Center, Skidmore College (BA). She is delighted to join Bristol Valley Theater this summer.
Christopher Sergel (Playwright, Mockingbird) interests and talents led him on many adventures throughout the world. As a playwright, his adaptation of Sherwood Anderson's Winesburg, Ohio was seen on Broadway. But throughout his life, his greatest adventure and deepest love was his work with Dramatic Publishing. During this time, he wrote adaptations of To Kill a Mockingbird, Cheaper By the Dozen, The Mouse That Roared, Up the Down Staircase, Fame, Black Elk Speaks and many more. His love of theatre and his caring for writers made him a generous and spirited mentor to many playwrights here and around the world.
David E. Shane (Associate Artistic Director; Director/Choreographer, Caps and Gowns; Director, Accomplice, David Duchovny, Pass the Remote) : David returns to his "home away from home" excited to take on his new role as Associate Artistic Director. Over the past few years, David has directed four BVT productions including Barefoot In The Park, and Red, White and Tuna. Back in New York City, he frequently directs readings and workshops of new plays and musicals. His staging of PICk Love was seen at the Rochester Fringe Festival this past Fall. In April, he directed three world premier plays for UMASS, Lowell (including Who Is Theo? by BVT favorite David L. Kimple). Throughout the year, David co-manages Footlights Entertainment, a New York City company providing live music for parties and events. He would like to thank Karin for being an incredible friend and mentor, his long-time BVT collaborators, and of course his wonderful husband Adam for his unending support.
Julie Shelton (Stage Manager) is from Clifton Park, NY, she graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 2011 with a BFA in theatrical production and design. Julie is happy to be returning to BVT for her 4th summer! Since last summer Julie has moved to NYC and started working as an associate production manager for Production Core working on different off-broadway shows around the city.
Gary Slootskiy (Lighting Design, Mockingbird) is thrilled to be returning to BVT this season after designing last season's Mary's Wedding. Courtney Nolan Smith (Cindy Lou, Caps and Gowns) is thrilled to back at BVT reprising her role as Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes (even though she still believes the voting process for the Prom "Queen of Your Dreams" was questionable, at best). G. Warren Stiles (Scenic Design, Mockingbird) is an award-winning scenic designer and graduate of the Ohio University MFA program. Recent NYC productions include Island and The Life and Death of King John with the NY Shakespeare Exchange, True Art with The Director’s Company, Waiting for Lefty with Portmanteau Theatre, and Money at HERE. He has assisted on the Broadway productions of Promises, Promises, A Behanding in Spokane, Hair, Pippin, and Big Fish and has also assisted on the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. In Chicago he worked with the House Theatre of Chicago, Chicago Children's Theatre, and The Adventure Stage. He is a co-founder of Burnside Design Studio with Daniel Winters, and is a founding member of New York Madness.
Sean Sullivan (Costume Design, Caps and Gowns) is glad to be returning to be work with Bristol Valley Theatre for another season. Other BVT’s shows include: Marvelous Wonderettes, Dash of Rosemary, Let’s Misbehave, Grand Night for Singing, Musical of Musicals and All Night Strut. New York credits include Four by Tenn, and Intrigue and Love at Jean Cocteau Rep. He began his career as a design assistant for Emmy Award winning designer Nolan Miller. Film credits include cult- horror classics Killjoy, Horrible Dr. Bones, and award winning shorts Out of Habit, and The Confession.He is a professor of costume design at Adelphi University in Garden City NY. Suzi Takahashi (Barbara, boom) This is Suzi’s eighth season at BVT. Last summer she directed Mary’s Wedding. During the year, Suzi is on the Movement Faulty at The Stella Adler Studio of Acting, where she teaches Viewpoints and ensemble theater making. Suzi has been a Directing Fellow at the New York Theatre Workshop, and a HARP Artist in Residence at the HERE Arts Center. Suzi won the 2009 Innovative Theater Award for Best Director and production. Currently she is finishing her MFA in Directing.

Brian Victor (Music Director, Caps and Gowns) was music director of A Wonderful Life at Cohoes Music Hall, and associate conductor of national tours of The Producers and Beauty And The Beast. He has also music directed several shows in the Washington, DC area and central Pennsylvania, including Pippin, Guys And Dolls, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, and Rent, the last of which earned him an Outstanding Music Director nomination from the Washington Area Theater Community Honors.
Liz Wasser (Miss Stephanie, Mockingbird) is a New York based writer and actor. Her solo show, Fate Fury and Musical Theatre was originally mounted as part of the New York Frigid Festival 2011, where it was extended as part of the Frigid Hangover Series and subsequently produced by Horse Trade Theatre Co. After the NYC run, she was honored to workshop and perform the piece at her dear alma mater, Muhlenberg College. Favorite regional credits include: Spelling Bee (Rona Lisa Peretti), Nunsense... Maximillian Booth Zorn (Technical Director/Production Manager) ecstatic to be back in Naples, NY for his 9th summer season at Bristol Valley Theater.
